Steve-O is a British-born American entertainer whose career revolves mostly around his stunning and painful exploits in the reality comedy television series Jackass and its associated films Jackass: The Movie, Jackass Number Two, Jackass 3D, and Jackass Forever, as well as its spin-off programs Wildboyz and Dr. Steve-O.

His mother, Donna Gay Glover (née Wauthier; died in 2003), was Canadian, while his father, Richard Edward “Ted” Glover, is an English-born American. His family relocated to Brazil when he was six months old due to his father’s position as president of Pepsi-Cola’s South American branch, and Steve-O revealed in an interview with Graham Bensinger that his first words were in Portuguese.
When he was two, his family moved from Brazil to Venezuela, where he learned fluent Spanish; when he was four, he moved to Darien, Connecticut; when he was six, he moved to Miami; when he was nine, he moved back to England; when he was twelve, he moved to Toronto; and when he was thirteen, he moved back to England again, where he finished high school at the American School in London.The student attended the University of Miami but dropped out owing to low academic performance and disobedience. They attended Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Clown College and worked as a clown at the Fort Lauderdale Swap Shop flea market after graduating in 1997.

Steve-O Tours
He did stunts while touring to promote the DVD, which was filmed and released as Don’t Try This at Home Volume 2: The Tour. In November 2010, Steve-O began his “Steve-O’s Entirely Too Much Information Tour” around the United States, doing stand-up comedy. He announced a nine-month American comedy tour in early 2011. He made an appearance in the April 2011 release of Jackass 3.5.

Steve began sending recordings of himself to Jeff Tremaine, the editor of Big Brother magazine and future Jackass director. After making the link, Steve-O began working on MTV’s television series Jackass, which became an instant hit. Jackass: The Movie (2002), Jackass Number Two (2006), direct-to-video release Jackass 2.5 (2007), Jackass 3D (2010), direct-to-video release Jackass 3.5 (2011), Jackass Forever (2022), and Jackass 4.5 (2022) have all been distributed by MTV. Jackass: The Movie, Jackass Number Two, Jackass 3D, Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa (2013), and Jackass Forever were all box office successes.
From 2003 until 2006, Steve co-starred with Chris Pontius on MTV’s Wildboyz, performing stunts and animal performances. He became the spokesperson for the Sneaux footwear brand in 2005, executing exploits such as leaping into garbage and being bitten by an alligator. In 2006, he performed “Unwrapping the Mummy” on The Dean Blundell Show, which resulted in the suspension of hosts Dean Blundell, Jason Barr, and Todd Shapiro. Steve-O eventually sued manager Nick Dunlap and attorney Jason Berk for deceiving him in order to fund their extravagant lifestyles.
He appeared as a late candidate on the British reality show Love Island in 2006, but was immediately dismissed after he was denied the beer he had requested. He went on a drug spree in November 2006 after being misdiagnosed with cardiomyopathy, a dangerous cardiac ailment. He was later evaluated by heart doctors, who determined he was well.
Steve starred in his own television show, Dr. Steve-O, on the USA Network in 2007, where he helped guests chill down and “de-wussify” them. In addition to Jackass 2.5, he appeared in National Lampoon’s TV: The Movie. To promote his upcoming rap album Hard as a Rock, he appeared on The Howard Stern Show in 2008 alongside Howard Stern, Robin Quivers, and Artie Lange. He also put out a mixtape titled The Dumbest Asshole in Hip Hop.
