In 1985, Sudduth obtained his Master of Fine Arts in acting from the University of Virginia.

Skipp Sudduth Third Watch
He appeared NYPD Officer John “Sully” Sullivan in the American crime drama television series Third Watch. Third Watch was a television series that depicted the life of police officers, firefighters, and paramedics in the fictitious NYPD 55th Precinct and FDNY Squad 55/Ladder 100/Battalion 24 firehouse. The show revived a failed attempt with H.E.L.P. by successfully presenting all three branches of New York City’s emergency services in one episode. John Wells and Edward Allen Bernero developed, produced, and wrote the show.
