Daniel Jonas, a doctor, was a passionate and dedicated individual who worked at numerous hospitals around the world. He fell in love and married cancer patient Rebecca, but her cancer was too advanced, and she died in his arms. In 2008, Victor invited his godson, Dr. Daniel Jonas, to Salem to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of Bo’s pancreas. Daniel saved Bo’s life by performing a live donor transplant alongside his daughter, Chelsea. Despite their age difference, Daniel and Chelsea started dating.
Chelsea dumped Daniel after finding out about his affair. Daniel and Kate, who had a brief romance, grew closer after Daniel diagnosed her with lung cancer.
