Tweedie previously worked as a Network 10 host, hosting the hit music television show The Loop, as a reporter on Studio 10, and as the host of the children’s show Prank Patrol on the former ABC 3 channel.

Tweedie has conducted interviews with a variety of international artists, including Katy Perry, Avril Lavigne, Matt Damon, Ed Sheeran, and Tom Cruise.

Tweedie launched Movie Juice, a weekly movie show on One, with co-host Jessica Tovey and roving reporter Alicia Malone in December 2014. On Tuesday, December 16, 2014, the first episode aired. Tweedie announced in November 2016 that he would make his acting debut as Derek Meeps in a guest role on Neighbours on November 18, 2016.

Tweedie announced in January 2018 that he would travel to Africa to host Edge of the Jungle, a behind-the-scenes online series of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!. Tweedie also became a reporter for Studio 10. Tweedie hosted Australia’s Dancing with the Stars in 2019, taking over for host Grant Denyer, who was injured at the time. Tweedie announced his resignation from Network 10 in November 2019, after 8 years with the network, to take on a new role overseas. Tweedie returned to Network 10 in March 2022 to temporarily replace Beau Ryan as host of The Amazing Race Australia 6 after some crew members tested positive for COVID-19.
