Bobby Joe Long kidnaps Lisa on her way home from work at a doughnut store one night. He raps her in his automobile before returning to his studio apartment. Diane reports her missing, but she figures she has fled.

Bobby Joe Long is held captive in his apartment in the film, raping and raped by her. Lisa employs reverse psychology to acquire Bobby’s trust, leaving her fingerprints on his surfaces and hair. Bobby tells Lisa to leave him after 26 hours and brings her to a remote place. Lisa remembers her surroundings and goes home, but her grandma and Morris are skeptical. Diane contacts the police, who conduct an investigation. Sergeant Larry Pinkerton, a specialized Sex Crime specialist, is assigned to Lisa’s case because he believes her account is dubious. Pinkerton sends Lisa’s clothes to be forensically tested, and the two become closer over time. Lisa recalls Bobby’s driving and finds the tree where she was kidnapped.
