Rocsi developed a distinct, street-savvy style that drew the attention of Boston’s Hot 97.7, where she later became a DJ. She moved to Chicago in 2004, where she was hired as a midday-hour DJ at radio station Power 92 WPWX-FM, where she was known as “The Midday Mami.”Diaz was a contestant on MTV’s Fear in 2000. On July 28, 2005, BET personalities AJ Calloway and Free left the network.

She and co-host Terrence J taped footage in Japan for their debut and appeared on MTV Video Music Awards Japan. Rocsi appeared as a BET News correspondent in Def Jam: Icon in 2007, but only in TV cutscenes and not in fighting mode. Diaz joined Entertainment Tonight as a daily correspondent and weekend co-host on November 19, 2012. Diaz was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Entertainment News Program in June 2014. Diaz was fired from the show on September 17, 2014, after CNN’s Nischelle Turner was hired. The National Council of La Raza: Nuestro Pueblo honored her in August 2013. She was honored with the Ruben Salazar Award for Communications.

In August 2015, she returned home with cameras to commemorate the tenth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. She demonstrated how her childhood street was devoid of houses. Diaz hosts the third season of Dating Naked on VH1, taking over for the original two-seasoned host Amy Paffrath. Diaz provided color commentary for Cannonball on the USA Network alongside play-by-play announcer Mike “The Miz” Mizanin. She will host the new Fox reality singing competition Alter Ego in 2021.
