Carey is a member of the Girls Scouts of Greater Atlanta board of directors, as well as Men Stopping Violence, an organization dedicated to ending male violence against women. She also hosts “What Matters,” a weekly segment on HLN that focuses on the most pressing issues and concerns that African-Americans face.
