Renee debuted in the entertainment world in 2006 as a member of the pop group Girlband. Kara DioGuardi and Greg Wells wrote both of the group’s top 50 hits, Electric and Party Girl. Before disbanding in April 2007, the band supported The Rogue Traders on a nationwide tour. Later that year, Bargh moved into television hosting, co-hosting National Bingo Night on Channel Seven with Tim Campbell.

Renee hosted the surfing adventure series Surfari on the Nine Network in 2008. The show covered the top surf spots in the Pacific, as well as stories about adventurous activities and features on local culture. From March through May 2008, the show aired on Saturdays.
