Ninan anchors CBSN and was the Saturday anchor of the CBS Weekend News from 2016 to 2020 before being replaced by Adriana Diaz. She also contributes to CBS This Morning, CBS Evening News, and other CBS shows. She began her career at the Washington Post as a producer.
She worked for Fox News Channel from 2004 to 2012, becoming the network’s Middle East Correspondent in 2007 and leaving in 2012. During the Iraq War, she reported from Libya, Indonesia, India, Israel, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, and Iraq, among other places. She was named one of Glamour magazine’s “Women on the Front Lines” in July 2011.
Ninan joined ABC News in 2012 as a reporter in the Washington bureau, where she covered the White House and the State Department. She later relocated to New York, where she reported for Good Morning America and continued to travel internationally as a foreign correspondent.
