Stefanovic began his broadcasting career in 2002, when he worked for WIN News in both Rockhampton and Canberra. Stefanovic joined the Nine Network in 2004 as a reporter for Nine News and A Current Affair. Later, he worked for Nine’s Los Angeles and London bureaus as a foreign correspondent. After several years as a foreign journalist, Stefanovic returned to Australia in mid-2015 as a top reporter and presenter across the Nine News platform.
In January 2018, Stefanovic returned to Weekend Today as a co-host alongside Allison Langdon. Stefanovic announced his retirement from the Nine Network in December 2018 after 15 years. Stefanovic began co-hosting First Edition with current anchor Laura Jayes on Sky News Australia in May 2019.
