Nicole Byer Book

In 2020, she will release her first book, #VERYFAT #VERYBRAVE: The Fat Girl’s Guide to Being #Brave and Not a Dejected, Melancholy, Down-in-the-Dumps Weeping Fat Girl in a Bikini. The book contains over 100 photos of Byer in bikinis, with much of the text written in captions, making it both a comedy and a photo book. “I, Nicole Byer, wrote this book to #1, share my impressive bikini collection and my hot body with the world, and #2, help other people feel #brave by embracing their body as it is,” she says of the lengthy title. The title started as a joke hashtag on Instagram, mocking the way people frequently comment on photos of fat women wearing little clothing as, ‘You’re so brave.’

Nicole Byer Nailed It!

Byer has co-hosted the Netflix original bake-off series Nailed It! with head judge chocolatier Jacques Torres since March 2018. Each episode features three “terrible track record” home bakers attempting to recreate extremely complicated pastries for a $10,000 prize. Three times, Byer was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Host of a Reality or Competition Program (in 2020 and 2021 and 2022). She is the category’s first Black female nominee.

Because her comedy is “not kid-friendly,” her commentary is edited to create the “feel-good G-rated comedy” for which the show is known. A full season is shot in just 13 days.

Nicole Byer Tours

She performs stand-up comedy across the United States and improv with the Upright Citizens Brigade in Los Angeles on a regular basis.

Nicole Byer Wipeout

What does Nicole Byers’s tattoo say? – Tattoo

She has a watermelon, a peach, and a strawberry that says “Juicy,” a chili pepper that says “Muy Caliente,” and a lemon that says “When life gives you lemons, suck a dick.” She has a cupcake, a lollipop, and an ice cream cone with the words ‘It’s sweet, just taste it’ on her other cheek. She’s holding a hamburger and a hot dog with the words ‘Stick it in these buns.’ She got all of these because she thought they were really funny, and she still does.”

This was Byer’s first special, and it presented some unique challenges. Getting through those challenges was a valuable learning experience that provided her with insights she’ll use for the rest of her career.

Nicole Byers, Why Won’t You Date Me?

Byer launched her weekly podcast Why Won’t You Date Me? on the HeadGum podcast network in December 2017. Each episode features a guest, usually another comedian, with whom Byer openly discusses her limited dating history, previous sexual experiences, and frustration with being single. Her Tinder profile is also criticized by the guest. Byer always asks the guest host if they would date her at the end of each show. Sasheer Zamata, Emily Heller, and Brooks Wheelan are among her previous guests. The show has been described as “bold” and “refreshing” by critics. The show left HeadGum in 2021 to join Conan O’Brien’s Team Coco podcast network.
