He appeared as Peter Baker in the Australian television soap opera Home and Away. He was the father of Drew Curtis and engaged to Amanda Vale. He and Amanda moved to the city from Summer Bay. Drew later joined them, having come from the Bay to pursue his school while living with his father and Amanda. Peter fell in love with Leah Patterson-Baker after being transferred to investigate Sarah Lewis. He arranged for locals to stay at Leah’s house, but was shot. Peter was in a coma, and his brother Dan Baker fell in love with Leah as well. Dan and Leah began dating, but Leah blank out Peter.

Ryan is the proprietor of a private security agency for which Arthur Campbell works, and he is paired with Annie.
