On March 21, 2010, he was recruited as the permanent co-host of the nationwide call-in radio show Loveline, with medical presenter Dr. Drew Pinsky. Catherwood regularly used his personal experience as a drug user to educate and challenge callers about substance usage. Catherwood stated on the radio on March 16, 2016, that he would be departing Loveline at the end of the month, with his last day as host being March 31, 2016. On April 28, 2016, Loveline went off the air forever.

Other characters he created include “Sven,” a disco Nordic Viking, and “Carbuncle,” a pirate who cruises the smegma of foreskins. In June 2007, he produced a KROQ phenomenon with “Hello There Vagina,” a spoof of the Plain White T’s song “Hey There Delilah.” For a week, the song was the most requested tune on the radio until station attorneys ruled it was “indecent.” The radio station also obtained its own URL to the tune. Catherwood returned to KROQ’s Kevin and Bean program in January 2018, replacing host Ralph Garman, who had left the Dr. Drew Midday Live show.
