Michael Catherwood Radio Show

Catherwood was the Kevin and Bean show’s associate producer, and he regularly appears in man-on-the-street pieces as well as parodies of most commercial songs with filthy themes. Catherwood is also a qualified personal trainer and an amateur bodybuilder who has participated in multiple segments instructing listeners about training and diet.

He is well-known for his vocal impersonations of Gene Simmons, Kevin Federline, Spencer Pratt, Manny Ramirez, Lamar Odom, Antonio Villaraigosa, Tom DeLonge, Adam Carolla, and Anthony Kiedis, as well as his own character “Rudy,” a stereotypical heavy-accented cholo ex-con with a penchant for marijuana and manscaping.

Other characters he created include “Sven,” a disco Nordic Viking, and “Carbuncle,” a pirate who cruises the smegma of foreskins. In June 2007, he produced a KROQ phenomenon with “Hello There Vagina,” a spoof of the Plain White T’s song “Hey There Delilah.” For a week, the song was the most requested tune on the radio until station attorneys ruled it was “indecent.” The radio station also obtained its own URL to the tune. Catherwood returned to KROQ’s Kevin and Bean program in January 2018, replacing host Ralph Garman, who had left the Dr. Drew Midday Live show.
