Milian is the presiding judge in the second season of the courtroom drama The People’s Court. It is the first reality court show based on arbitration and the second-longest-running court show in history. Milian has been a judge on the show since the spring of 2001. The People’s Court has had many arbitrators, with Milian currently serving as the longest-serving arbitrator in the series. Milian had presided over the show for twelve and a half seasons by the end of its 28th season (2012-13). This makes her the People’s Court’s longest-serving judge. Milian’s performance is noticeably more animated. She is also known for being level-headed and logical in her observations and case handling. Cecily Strong played Milian in a 2017 Saturday Night Live parody of The People’s Court. Stong presided over a case between President Donald Trump and three judges of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
