Marcia Gay Code Black

She plays Leanne Rorish, the ER Residency Director and attending ER physician at Angels Memorial Hospital in Code Black. Leanne, the Angels Memorial ER residency director, is a force to be reckoned with. She is affectionately referred to by her patients as “Daddy,” and she is an exceptional, confident, quick-thinking doctor who is not hesitant to make aggressive or unconventional decisions in order to rescue a patient.

Leanne’s imaginative, “cowboy” approaches frequently cause her to clash with colleagues, but her track record is solid, and she never fails to impress. She is a natural teacher who leads by example, but “Daddy” respect is hard to get by. She teaches her residents with tough love, expects the best from those she believes in, and is prepared to cull out any newcomers who fail to meet her standards. A traumatic personal history drives Leanne’s desire to be the greatest doctor she can be. While she believes a doctor can (and should) separate emotion from their work, Leanne has discovered that this is sometimes easier said than done.

So Please Assist Me Todd follows Todd, a private investigator with good instincts but no direction and the black sheep of his family. Todd unwillingly decides to work as an in-house investigator at his mother’s Portland, Oregon, law business two years after his strong-willed mother, Margaret, won the dismissal of criminal charges against him.
