She began her career as a child actress in the 1980s, at the age of fourteen. Corman had her debut television appearance in the 1985 ABC Afterschool Special episode “I Want to Go Home,” co-starring with John Getz, Seth Green, and Marge Redmond. She was cast in Seven Minutes in Heaven, an adolescent comedy-drama directed by Linda Feferman. Corman played Polly Franklin, Jennifer Connelly’s enthusiastic best friend who is in love with Major League Baseball player Zoo Knudsen (Billy Wirth). Corman played Laura, Keith Nelson’s younger sister, in the 1987 film Some Kind of Wonderful, written by John Hughes and starring Eric Stoltz.

Her follow-up was the 1990 comedy The Adventures of Ford Fairlane, directed by Renny Harlin and starring Andrew “Dice” Clay, Priscilla Presley, Wayne Newton, Lauren Holly, and Gilbert Gottfried. Corman featured on a number of prominent American television shows during the 1990s and early 2000s. She appeared as a variety of roles on the television drama Law & Order and the HBO comedy Tracey Takes On…, opposite comedian Tracey Ullman. She had a recurring role as Ruthie on Margaret Cho’s ABC comedy series All-American Girl (1994-95). She also played minor roles in films such as Swingers (1996), Mickey Blue Eyes (1999), and Maid in Manhattan (2002). In 2019, she starred in the Off-Broadway production Accidentally Brave, an autobiographical one.
