Russell joined CBS 11 in March 2015 after spending the 2014 season at WTXF in Philadelphia, where he hosted pre- and post-game Eagles broadcasts. Russell had previously worked in Philadelphia from 2005 until 2012, when he was the principal sports anchor at WPVI for seven years. He anchored wall-to-wall coverage of live events, including the 2008 Philadelphia Phillies World Series Championship, and hosted a top-rated weekly live high school football show there. Russell spent more than five years as an ESPN anchor before joining WPVI. He has also worked as a CNN/HLN sportscaster and a Washington, D.C. news anchor. Russell began working at CBS 11 in 2015.
