After a few months, the aspiring singer released her first solo single, ‘ANTISUMMERLUV,’ on SoundCloud. Cannon listened to her song, called her back, and offered her an apartment in Los Angeles as well as studio time, which resulted in the release of Kehlani’s first mixtape, ‘Cloud 19,’ in 2012. She moved to California while in high school and was later invited to be a part of a rap group by Nick Cannon (host of ‘America’s Got Talent’).
