Bryant’s passion for music helped her land her first television gig as an MTV VJ in 1990. Later, she co-hosted a live music show called Sound fX with Orlando Jones and Matt Ostrom on FX. As the show’s run came to an end, Jones was succeeded by Jeff Probst. Bryant was selected by TNT to host the Rough Cut entertainment vignettes. TNT decided to make Rough Cut a weekly television series, hosted and written by Bryant, in response to the vignettes’ success. This was the first time Bryant worked for Turner Broadcasting as a professional. Bryant was able to participate in various activities such as driving a U.S. Naval LCAC hovercraft and training with Marine snipers after TBS quickly introduced the wraparound series Movies, For Guys Who Like Movies.
Later, in 2001, Bryant was chosen by Lorne Michaels to anchor his brand-new daily game show on VH1, Name That Video, for which he taped 50 episodes. Following a brief run as host of CNN’s Talk Back Live, Bryant was selected in 2004 to co-anchor the network’s redesigned Showbiz Tonight. As the countdown to 2006 started, Bryant, a Patriots and Red Sox fan, joined ESPN for their inaugural live New Year’s Eve show. Bryant joined Steve Albert, Al Bernstein, Jim Gray, and others on the Showtime Championship Boxing commentator crew that year.
Bryant received an invitation from CBS in May 2008 to become a member of their Elite Xtreme Combat announcer team for their upcoming mixed martial arts primetime television series. On May 31, 2008, mixed martial arts made its primetime network television debut. Bryant is a co-owner of MMAheat.com, a website that provides coverage of most mixed martial arts competitions. Bryant writes and hosts the half-hour sports and entertainment podcast MMA H.E.A.T. (the show). “H.E.A.T.” stands for “Heart. Endurance. Aggression. Technique.” She co-hosted the majority of the UFC Pre and post-shows on ESPN as of the end of 2018.
