Karan Soni Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse
Soni voices Pavitr Prabhakar, also known as Spider-Man of Earth-50101, who made his debut in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. Pavitr Prabhakar is a Mumbattan Visions Academy student who developed spider-like abilities and now battles crime as the superhero Spider-Man. While Pavitr was juggling his hero duties with the obligations of high school, Miguel O’Hara approached him about joining the Spider-Society.
A few months later, Pavitr joined Gwen Stacy, his best friend Hobie Brown, and Earth-1610’s Spider-Man in their struggle against the Spot, a multiversal criminal who had infiltrated his universe to find Alchemax. While the crew was unable to thwart Spot’s plot to enhance himself with the Alchemax collider, Pavitr was able to save his lover at the severe cost of failing to arrive in time to save her father, whom Miles Morales would take over for. Pavitr eventually abandoned the Spider-Society to join the rebuilt Spider-Gang in search of Miles and to aid in the fight against Miguel and Spot in exchange for Miles’ assistance.

Soni appeared Dopinder, a taxi driver and a friend of Wade Wilson in Deadpool & Wolverine. Dopinder, an Indian man, works as a taxi driver. One day, he picks up Deadpool, who, dissatisfied with sitting in the rear seat, climbs to the front and has a talk with Dopinder about his destination and motivation. The two develop an odd relationship as Dopinder appears to condone Deadpool’s violent lifestyle. Dopinder was initially betrothed to a woman named Gita, but she is in love with his cousin Bandhu, whom he characterizes as “as dishonorable as he is attractive.” Dopinder kidnaps Bandhu and ties him up in the trunk of his taxi cab, following Deadpool’s fairly vague instruction.
Deadpool, who was riding with Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead at the moment, is delighted by Dopinder’s actions while seeming to denounce them. Later, distracted by a cellphone call from Deadpool, Dopinder abruptly stops his cab and is rear-ended by another vehicle, smashing the trunk and causing Bandhu to scream in pain.
In the film’s sequel, Dopinder continues to drive Deadpool to his many contracts and missions while aspiring to be a contract killer himself (confirming that he successfully but indirectly killed Bandhu), since he envies Deadpool’s lifestyle. He begins working as a janitor at Sister Margaret’s School for Wayward Children (a mercenary bar where Wade works), but Deadpool and Weasel refuse to let him join any missions. Dopinder keeps popping up to help Deadpool, but she backs out when she sees Juggernaut. Dopinder soon returns to use his taxi to assassinate the mutant-hating Essex Center headmaster, experiencing his first joy of intentionally killing someone.
