Berman made her television debut as the misunderstood Shelby Connor, a friend of Lucy Camden, in the WB family drama series 7th Heaven. Berman continued her role on 7th Heaven while also having a recurring role on ABC’s Once and Again. She also appeared as a guest star on ER and Boston Public, and she co-starred with Shelley Long in the 1999 television film Vanished Without a Trace. Berman is best known for her role on the ABC daytime soap opera General Hospital as Lulu Spencer, the stubborn, troubled daughter of Luke and Laura Spencer. On October 28, 2005, she made her first appearance.
Berman was nominated for her first Daytime Emmy in 2007, and she won her first Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Younger Actress in 2009. In the same category, she won her second Emmy in a row in 2010. Berman left her role as Lulu in 2013 and was replaced by Emme Rylan from The Young and the Restless.
