Since March 2018, North has co-hosted the comic agony aunt podcast Help I Sexted My Boss with friend and etiquette expert William Hanson.The show expects to offer counsel to audience members who have experienced cutting edge issues. The digital recording is at present in its twelfth series (as of February 2024) and was designated for Best Diversion Webcast at the English Digital recording Grants 2020. On 5 February 2020, North showed up on kids’ singing contest Got The stuff? as a visitor tutor during the program’s yearly Radio 1 meeting challenge. In November 2020, it was reported that North would partake in the 20th series of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!. While working at Spark FM during his final year of university, North entered a Bauer Radio talent search and won a Sunday show on The Hits Radio. He has also worked for Blackpool Pleasure Beach’s in-house radio station and Preston FM, a community radio station.

After leaving Spark and graduating from university, North worked as a researcher and producer for BBC Radio 5 Live. After filming a “pilot” show for Capital North East, he began hosting shows on Capital Manchester. He subsequently spent 18 months working part-time at Rock FM before leaving the BBC to become the Lancashire station’s drive-time presenter in May 2014.

After working as a freelance cover presenter on a number of BBC Radio 1 shows since 2014, he was one of several fresh voices chosen to stand in for Matt Edmondson in September 2017, and in early 2018, he was named as the new host of the station’s Greatest Hits show on Sunday mornings. He was confirmed as BBC Radio 1’s next regular 11am-1pm weekend host beginning in September 2020. North was also the primary cover presenter for Scott Mills and Nick Grimshaw, and was known as Radio 1’s “supply teacher” at times.

Since 6 September 2021, North has introduced the BBC Radio 1 drivetime show with Vick Trust, taking over from Scratch Grimshaw. It was declared on 16 February 2024 that North will leave Radio 1, with Jamie Laing joining Trust on drivetime. In 2021, North supplanted Fearne Cotton to co-present the Christmas and New Year versions of Top of the Pops close by Clara Amfo.
