Lynch took on the role of another nasty figure, Benjamin Richter, in the ninth edition of the series, the slasher 1984.He also appeared as the demented director Larry Bitterman in the spin-off anthology series American Horror Stories.Twisty donned a horrifying grinning mask as a prosthesis over his missing jaw, a dirty clown suit, and carried a sack containing his juggling pins. The clown was a savage kidnapper and serial killer who had no idea what he was doing was wrong. His ostensible aim (as revealed to ghost Edward Mordrake) was to protect children from their cruel, chore-giving, candy-denying parents. Though other of his killings, such as those of the toy store owner, were most likely more personal and spiteful in nature.
Twisty was convinced that youngsters still liked him, despite the fact that his ghoulish appearance worried them. Twisty also despised carnival freaks, believing that the ones at the circus he formerly worked for had ruined his career, and that the Cabinet of Curiosities freaks, like the others, were “stealing” the youngsters. As a result, he attempted to “save” the children from them as well. He eventually accepted to join Edward Mordrake’s circus and found bliss after death.
