Soder was a frequent guest and “third mic” on Opie with Jim Norton, formerly on the Faction Talk channel on Sirius Satellite Radio after Anthony Cumia was fired from the Opie & Anthony Show. On July 27, 2015, Soder and fellow stand-up comedian Big Jay Oakerson launched The Bonfire, a two-hour live radio chat program that airs every Monday through Thursday (formerly Mondays and Wednesdays) from 6-8 pm EST on SiriusXM’s Comedy Central Radio channel.
After Comedy Central Radio halted production on all of its talk shows in March 2021, the show began broadcasting on Faction Talk from 5-7 p.m. EST. Soder announced his departure from The Bonfire on February 22, 2023, and was replaced by comedian Robert Kelly. Soder debuted as a guest performer in many episodes of Inside Amy Schumer beginning in 2014 and had a minor role in Amy Schumer’s film Trainwreck (2015). Dan Soder made a special guest appearance on the popular professional wrestling podcast Wrestling Soup on March 19, 2016.
Soder has been a wrestling fan his entire life, and he is best known for his impersonation of “Macho Man” Randy Savage.
