Jillian Harris The Bachelorette
She was chosen as the fifth-season star of The Bachelorette in mid-2009, making her the franchise’s first Canadian star. She chose Ed Swiderski as her season’s winner, and the two became engaged but later divorced. She worked as a designer on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition in 2010.
She headlined the Calgary Home + Design Show in 2011 as part of the HGTV stand. That same year, she hosted the first season of Canada’s Handyman Challenge, which aired in 2012. Harris has appeared on the Canadian TV show Love It or List It Vancouver since 2013, which airs on W Network in Canada and HGTV in the United States as Love It or List It Too. Harris is the show’s designer, and she competes against real estate agent Todd Talbot by redesigning a family’s existing home in the hopes that they will stay instead of selling it. The show is in its fifth season as of Spring 2019.

Harris began her interior design career while working at Caban, an interior goods store, where she was inspired to start offering design consultations. Scott Morison, the co-founder of the Canadian restaurant chain Cactus Club Cafe, then hired her to design his restaurants. Her interior design credentials were formalized in 2006 when she received a certificate in interior design from The British Columbia Institute of Technology. Morison then rehired her as the designer for Browns Socialhouse, his new restaurant chain.
Jillian collaborated with Canadian wellness brand Saje Natural Wellness in September 2018 to create a limited edition diffuser for their home collection.
