He appeared as Dick Grayson in the American superhero animated television series Young Justice. Nightwing (actual name: Richard “Dick” Grayson) was the original Robin. Nightwing, Batman’s erstwhile protégé, was a founding member of the team. He led the clandestine operations team while Aqualad was in deep cover, but stepped down after Wally West’s death. After working alone for a while, he led a fresh group of young heroes until they were ready to join the team.
Robin, Batman’s young sidekick, was initially inexperienced and had to be trained for four years. Despite Batman’s solemn appearance, Robin was upbeat and cheery, frequently socializing with elderly folks. He was a natural tactical thinker and a pragmatic individual who frequently devised ideas for the Team on the spot.
Robin initially saw himself as the natural leader, but his close working relationship with Batman led him to believe that others would comprehend his intentions without him expressing them. This produced complications during their first mission against Kobra and Bane. After seeing his friends’ deaths in a simulation, Robin opened out to Black Canary and expressed his desire to become Batman. However, after sending his friends to their “deaths” in a simulation, he no longer wanted to be like Batman and gave up everything for the objective.
