Soffer’s acting career began when he was six years old when he appeared in a Kix cereal commercial. He made his feature film debut in 1993 as Dennis Loomis in the comedy ‘Matinee.’ He co-starred in the drama film ‘Safe Passage’ with Nick Stahl, Sean Astin, Sam Shepard, and Jason London a year later. In 1995, the actor was cast as Bobby Brady in the comedy ‘The Brady Bunch Movie’. He later reprised his role in the 1996 sequel ‘A Very Brady Sequel’. Soffer portrayed Taylor Donovan in the TV series ‘Two of a Kind’ in 1998. The following year, he was cast as a recurring character in ‘Guiding Light,’ the longest-running drama series in American history.
In 2007, the actor starred in ‘Gracie,’ a sports drama film in which young adolescent copes with the death of her brother by requesting that her school allow her to play soccer on an all-boys team. Soffer joined the cast of ‘The Mob Doctor’ after appearing in the sci-fi action film ‘In Time’ in 2011. He has been starring as Jay Halstead in Dick Wolf’s action drama series ‘Chicago’ since 2013. In September 2014, he made an appearance in the second season premiere of the comedy web series ‘Talking Marriage with Ryan Bailey.’ The series stars Ryan Bailey as a talk show host who shares words of wisdom for maintaining a happy marriage.
