Miller appeared in a few commercials before winning the role of Ben Seaver, the younger son on Growing Pains. Following Growing Pains, he starred in the film Milk and Fashion, McDonald’s “Dollar Menunaires” ads, a parody of the VH1 series Best Week Ever, and the 1990 Hanukah episode of Shalom Sesame. He’s also been seen in Boys and Girls Guide To Getting Down. He was featured in a special celebrity team-up episode of Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego? squaring battle against Mayim Bialik of Blossom and Tatyana Ali of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air;
He appears in four films in 2009: Ditching Party, Never Have I Ever, The Fish, and Tar Beach. Miller stated in April 2014, when promoting Start Fresh Recovery in Santa Ana, California, that he began consuming alcohol at age four. Miller claims that he struggled with alcoholism for years before receiving an implant that administered the medicine Naltrexone.
