She appeared as Zoey Pierson, a woman who is protesting against GNB for selecting a decrepit hotel, the Arcadian, to be torn down for the headquarters in season 6 of the American sitcom How I Met Your Mother. Zoey, a controversial activist, annoys Ted, a guy protesting the demolition of The Arcadian, an old hotel in New York City. Ted’s interest in her causes a conflict between job and love, which worsens when a poster of Ted is erected on the Arcadian’s façade. Zoey’s marriage to Ted results in a return to the original design, adding to the tension between Ted and Zoey.
To further annoy Ted, Zoey enrolls in Ted’s architecture class and manipulates his pupils into protesting for the preservation of the Arcadian. Ted loses control of his students, but regains control when he threatens those who do not show up with an F. Ted meets Zoey and her husband, George Van Smoot, also known as The Captain, in the New York Museum of National History. Ted is duped by Zoey into declaring he dislikes GNB and its intentions to scrap the Arcadian. The Captain offers Ted the task of locating and erasing the recording, knowing that Zoey’s rage tantrums can interfere with employees attempting to do their jobs. Ted declines, oblivious to the fact that Zoey can hear their chat from the other side of the corridor. She locates Ted and informs him that she has erased the tape but will continue to target him beginning Monday.
