Jason Santo Restaurants – Career
Santos has been chief gourmet specialist and proprietor of three Boston cafés: Buttermilk & Bourbon, Abby Lane, and Citrus & Salt are all located in Boston’s Back Bay. In addition, he owns B&B Fish, which opened in November 2020 but is now closed in Marblehead, Massachusetts. In 2021, he announced that Santos and his partners would open a location in Arsenal Yards, Watertown, Massachusetts, in July 2021. On August 5, 2021, the Buttermilk & Bourbon location actually opened.
In September of 2014, his restaurant Blue Inc. closed. Right off the bat in his profession, he worked for Andy Spouses at Tremont 647 where he burned through six years prior to proceeding to become Leader Culinary specialist at Figures of grotesqueness on the Square in 2005. “The restaurant from neighborhood stalwart to out-of-town dining destination was transformed by his innovative cuisine,” he said. His food has been compared to Willy Wonka and Julia Child. Santos has taught culinary classes at Cambridge Rindge and Latin School and Boston University.
