In 2007, Acuña starred in the reality TV series Armed and Famous. In July 2007, she hosted MTV’s Scarred Live. Acuña appeared in the first season of NBC’s Celebrity Circus. In the fourth week of competition, he was the first contestant to obtain a perfect score (a 10-point average). Acuña finished the season in third place.

Acuña is an investor in Chronic Tacos, a network of fast casual Mexican eateries. His first franchise location launched in 2010 in Redondo Beach, California. After a few years of trying to make this restaurant a success, Acuña shuttered it permanently and started a Chronic Tacos franchise in Long Beach, California.
