In his teenage years, he began his career in the show business as an exotic dancer for the Australian all-male revue group Manpower Australia. Manpower Australia is a traveling dance company best recognized for its male dance performances and for its performers’ unusual physical attractiveness and sex appeal. Durie’s agent introduced him to the group. Durie spent seven years traveling the world with Manpower Australia as the group’s manager and principal dancer, putting on acrobatic and trapeze shows for a sizable crowd in Las Vegas, Nevada.
