Jack Black is an American actor, comedian, and musician known for his appearances in family and comedy films, as well as his voice work in animated films. He has won an Emmy, a Grammy, and been nominated for three Golden Globe Awards.


He is 54 years old as of 28 August 2023. He was born in 1969 in Santa Monica, California, United States. His real name is Thomas Jacob Black.

Jack Black Family – Education

Black was born as the son of satellite engineers Thomas William Black and Judith Love Cohen. He was reared in Hermosa Beach, California. His mother worked on the Minuteman nuclear missile guidance system, the Apollo lunar module guiding system, and the Hubble Space Telescope research ground station, as well as being a writer.

He has three older half-siblings from his mother: scientist Neil Siegel, Howard Siegel, and Rachel Siegel. His mother was born Jewish, and his father converted to Judaism. Black was raised Jewish, attending Hebrew school and celebrating his bar mitzvah. His ancestry comprises English, German, Irish, Polish, Russian, and Scottish.

Black’s parents split when he was ten, and his father stopped practicing Judaism. Black went to Culver City with his father and made frequent visits to his mother’s home. In 1982, he appeared in a commercial for the Activision game Pitfall!. Black’s parents put him in the Poseidon School, a private secondary school for pupils who struggled in standard schools. He also attended Crossroads School, where he excelled at drama. He later attended the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), but dropped out in his sophomore year to pursue a career in entertainment.


He dated fellow actress and writer Laura Kightlinger from 1996 through early 2005. While attending the Santa Monica exclusive high school Crossroads School, Haden got to know actress Tanya Haden Black. Despite going to the same private high school, the two didn’t start dating until the spring of 2005. On March 14, 2006, the couple tied the knot in Big Sur, California. On June 10, 2006, she gave birth to their first baby in Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. On May 23, 2008, their second son was born.


His song Peaches was made available as a single along with the soundtrack on April 7, 2023. There are two official music videos for the song. The first was a Cole Bennett-directed live-action music video that featured Black in a Bowser-inspired outfit, playing the song on the piano in a room with windows looking out over computer-animated scenes from the movie.

On the same day as the track was released, Lyrical Lemonade shared the video. Lyrical Lemonade’s auxiliary channel also posted a behind-the-scenes film that day. On April 10, the music video rose to number two on YouTube’s trending page. The second video includes clips of Bowser playing the song on his piano, as well as footage from the film. It was uploaded by Illumination on April 10, 2023.

Shark Tale

He played Lenny, Don Lino’s youngest son, a vegetarian, and Frankie’s younger brother, who befriends Oscar and Angie. Oscar, a bluestreak cleaner wrasse, is in debt to Sykes, the proprietor of the Whale Wash, and aspires to be wealthy and well-known. When he wagers on a seahorse race and loses, it causes his brother Frankie to pass away. Oscar claims to have killed Frankie and becomes well-known as the “Sharkslayer.” He relocates to a luxurious home at the top of the reef, where Sykes takes up the role of manager and pays off his debt.


Oscar meets Lenny as he rises to fame, and the latter urges him to remain at his house. Oscar lies, and Angie finds out and tries to silence him. Oscar and Lenny put up a fight, which increases Oscar’s notoriety and leads the sharks to think Lenny is dead. Lola knocks Oscar up out of rage after he dumps her. After capturing Oscar in the Whale Wash, Lino kidnaps Angie, keeping Linny and Lenny within. Oscar tries to make amends with Lenny after admitting the truth about Frankie’s passing. Oscar gives up his fortune, joins Angie as a co-owner of the Whale Wash, and makes amends with her while Lino makes amends with Lenny and accepts him.
