He is the son of the late Hiro Noshimuri, the brother of the late Michael Noshimuri, the half-brother of the late Noriko Noshimuri, Kono Kalakaua’s ex-husband, and Tamiko Masuda’s boyfriend. Adam’s father, a former leader of the Japanese Yakuza, tried to prevent Adam from following in his footsteps. Following his father’s death, Adam attempted to turn his father’s assets away from their criminal past.
Adam’s father recognizes one of the gang’s leaders, who is in prison and claims to be only a low-level member. After rescuing McGarrett in North Korea, Joe White is forced to retire early. Adam decides to confront Kono about the site and Sato; Adam claims that he met with Sato to leave the Yakuza and is unaware of the site. When Gabriel Waincroft kidnaps both Adam and Kono, their honeymoon is ruined. Adam is released from prison after a year and asks Kono for assistance in locating a fellow inmate’s daughter.
Adam appears in episode 6 and tells Tani that he and Kono are no longer together. Adam learns that he has a half-sister, Noriko, who is the leader of a new crime syndicate. Five-O brings Hajme in to be taken to the Mob Doctor, but Adam refuses, claiming he needs a hospital. It was later revealed that he was murdered by someone from his past for whom he had been sending money to the man’s pregnant wife at the time.
