From the first to the sixth seasons, she portrayed Physician Assistant Jeanie Boulet. She began as a recurring guest star in the first season and early episodes of the second season before being upgraded to series regular beginning with the second season episode “Days Like This.” She appeared in the fourteenth season episode “Status Quo” as herself.
Jeanie originally appeared as a recurrent character in Season 1. Dr. Peter Benton had recruited her as a physical therapist to care for his ailing mother. Jeanie, who was married at the time, quickly began a romantic relationship with Benton, but things fizzled when she couldn’t decide whether or not to divorce.
She returned as a series regular as a new medical assistant at the County General ER a few episodes later in season 2. Her spouse Al Boulet was brought to the hospital near the end of the season when it was determined that he had contracted HIV. Jeanie and Al had been separated since the start of the season, but he could have contracted the virus years before because he had been with other women during their marriage. Jeanie had her HIV test and encouraged Benton (her recent partner) to do the same.

They exchanged letters, but the letters were never returned. Violet left rehab to see Nina, but when she arrived, she realized she had died. Nina was assigned to Thelma Price, who ignored her. She was never found when a social worker took her out. Susie Marshall was eventually recognized as Nina’s recently discovered body. Terry Jessup, who was also responsible for Susie’s death, kidnapped Nina.
Violet stepped in to assist in the search for her daughter, telling Jessup about her love and concern. Fin was able to save Nina and return her to Violet, who expressed gratitude to the squad. Christine “Chris” Danielson is the Homicide Bureau Chief for the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office. She was eventually transferred to the United States Attorney’s office’s Eastern District.
The Bureau Chief, Danielson, is prosecuting Dennis King for murder after he violated an order of protection on Chuckwei Bothame. King is found guilty and sentenced to $500,000. Danielson then goes to the United States Attorney’s Office to prosecute a ring of teenage human and sex traffickers. She is in charge of the Major Narcotics Bureau and three Detective Investigators, Michael Walden, Sean Riggs, and Sunny Qadri. They discover proof of Ferguson’s murder in her car and charge Damon Merced with her murder. Riggs is questioned because he believes Merced was his informant and orchestrated the murders.
