Her elder brothers were the 6th and 7th Viscounts Hardinge, and her nephew is the current 8th Viscount Hardinge.

She attended the independent Windlesham House School before going on to Parsons School of Design in Paris, where she graduated in 2008 and won the best designer award for her graduate collection. In 2010, Hardinge launched her own label with a sculptural aesthetic.

Hardinge launched their first capsule collection with British retailer River Island in early 2013, including their first foray into accessories with one bag and two shoe designs. In May, they created bespoke costumes for the Girls Aloud Reunion Tour, and by late 2013, Hardinge was working with River Island again through the Design Forum, this time on an 11-piece capsule collection sold in 20 stores nationwide and online.

The Hardinge brand created an exclusive shirt that was only available on eBay and displayed their Spring/Summer 2015 collection at Somerset House in September of that year.
