Teissier toured as a child, providing background vocals for artists such as Luis Miguel, Cristian Castro, José José, and Guadalupe Pineda. She also provided vocals as Terk for Phil Collins’ single “Rompiendo el Campamento,” which appeared on the Spanish version of the Tarzan soundtrack in 1999. She appeared in television commercials as “Terk” while in college. Teissier is also one of the two morning radio show hosts of “Tu Voz En Los Angeles” on KTNQ 1020 AM, Univision’s flagship talk radio station in Los Angeles. Teissier currently serves on the board of directors for ACT Today, a non-profit organization for Autism, as well as the SAG-AFTRA board of trustees; she previously served on the board of the American Heart Association.

Her first job in journalism was as an anchorwoman for MVS TV Noticias in Telerey, Mexico. She moved to the United States in the late 1990s after being offered a job anchoring Telemundo Network’s Edicion Especial Midday show. After Telemundo, she joined Univision as the anchor of their midday show Escandalo TV[citation needed] for the launch of Unimas, formerly known as Telefutura. She returned to California in 2003 and has since been the main anchor of Univision’s Los Angeles station KMEX-DT’s early morning news show, A Primera Hora.
