Fang Bin whistleblowing Arrest
Fang and two other citizen journalists and whistleblowers, Chen Qiushi and Li Zehua, were arrested and disappeared in Wuhan in February 2020. Chen, a lawyer who arrived in Wuhan on January 23, was the first to vanish on February 6; a week before, he had uploaded a video criticizing the Chinese government’s information manipulation, which ended with the sentence “I have no fear of dying! Do you think I’m afraid of the communists? “.. On February 4, two days before Chen’s arrest, the police came to Fang’s apartment twice.
