Erin is an Encino, California-based former child actress. She is best known for her role as the adolescent witch Tabitha Stephens in the fantasy sitcom “Bewitched” (1964–1972). Between 1966 and 1972, she played the character in 103 episodes. She initially played Tabitha alongside Diane Murphy, her fraternal twin sister. Diane quit the series as the two sisters became less similar as they aged. Murphy appeared as a guest star in various television series after “Bewitched” ended. She also modeled for the “Hang Ten” swimwear line. Murphy participated in cheerleading while attending El Toro High School in Lake Forest, California. During her senior year, she was crowned homecoming queen at her high school. She graduated in 1981 when she was 17 years old.
Murphy has worked as a casting director, makeup artist, fashion stylist, acting coach, and motivational speaker, among other things. She was a stunt double for actress Virginia Madsen for a period.
