Eric Salter Balfour is an American actor and singer. He is most known for his roles in the television shows ‘Six Feet Under,’ ‘Haven,’ and ’24.’ He is also the lead singer for ‘Born As Ghosts’ (formerly ‘Fredalba’). He began his acting career as a teenager, playing in a key role in the American children’s TV show “Kids Incorporated.”

Balfour featured in the children’s television show Kids Incorporated for one season in 1991. In the early 1990s, he played a number of minor juvenile roles on television shows such Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, Arresting Behavior, Boy Meets World, and Step by Step. In 1997, he appeared in the first two episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer as Jesse McNally, one of the show’s initial victims. Eric starred as Gabriel Dimas on the HBO series Six Feet Under in 2001. He served as a regular cast member on three short-lived television shows. Veritas: The Quest was terminated after four episodes in 2003, Hawaii after seven in 2004, and Sex, Love, and Secrets after four.

Balfour also appeared in the sexually graphic Canadian drama Lie with Me in 2005, alongside Lauren Lee Smith. Balfour made his television debut as Brian Peluso in the one-season crime drama Conviction, produced by Dick Wolf. Balfour also appeared as a guest on the hit show Dawson’s Creek in the ninth episode of its first season.
He appeared in the 2003 version of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre alongside Jessica Biel. He appeared as Eddie, Theresa’s fiancé, in multiple episodes of The O.C., as well as Gabriel Dimas on the hit HBO drama Six Feet Under.

Balfour featured in seven episodes of the first season of 24 as Milo Pressman, a computer specialist. Five years later, Balfour returned to the character for 19 episodes of 24’s sixth season before quitting at his own desire. He was the face of the Valentino male fragrance Valentino V. In September, Balfour appeared on an episode of Monk. Balfour also landed a recurring part in the drama series The Beautiful Life same month, but the show was canceled after only two episodes. In 2010, he appeared in the Strause Brothers’ thriller film Skyline. He appeared as Duke Crocker in the Syfy program Haven. Balfour co-starred with Missy Peregrym and Jeff Roop in the survival film Backcountry, and he appeared in an episode of Chicago Police Department.
