Lockhart (born December 15, 1994), often known as Emma Lockhart, is an American journalist and former child actor best known for playing a young Rachel Dawes in Batman Begins and Laura in Ace Ventura Jr.: Pet Detective. As an adult, she switched to broadcast journalism and now works in Phoenix, Arizona as a reporter for Meredith Corporation’s “Arizona’s Family” duopoly, KTVK/KPHO-TV (channels 3/5). She had a number of minor parts in television, films, and on stage. Lockhart also played Gwen Stanton in the film The Seeker. She played the younger Rachel Dawes in Batman Begins (2005). She played the female lead in Ace Ventura Jr: Pet Detective, a direct-to-video film released in March 2009.
Lockhart then went to Arizona State University and majored in communications at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, which produces newscasts for sister station KAET (channel 8), where she reported and anchored the Monday evening edition of the school’s Cronkite News broadcast. After graduating, she worked for two years as a multimedia journalist and weather presenter for KERO-TV (channel 23) in Bakersfield, California, before joining KTVK/KPHO as a reporter.
