Taylor appeared on The 100 as Clarke Griffin and Josephine Lightbourne. She has been a member of the main cast since Season One and was the show’s lead actor. Clarke Griffin is a pivotal character in the series, appearing in several seasons. She was one of the 100, a group of youthful delinquents who had been transported to Earth. Clarke started out as a medical trainee before becoming a co-leader with Bellamy Blake. She was seized by the Mountain Men and sent to Polis after defending their camp against the Grounders. Clarke was obliged to irradiate Mount Weather after assisting in the formation of an alliance with the Grounder Coalition.
Clarke warned of the approaching nuclear holocaust and planned for the human race’s survival when A.L.I.E. took control Arkadia and Polis. She produced a Nightblood serum to provide radiation resistance, but was left behind to rescue her comrades. Clarke spent six years in the valley with another young Nightblood, Madi.
