Dean Geyer is a South African-born Australian singer-songwriter, actor, and martial artist who came in third place in the sixth season of Australian Idol in 2006 and has been in the Australian serial opera Neighbours. He joined the cast of Glee in the fourth season and played Mark Reynolds in Terra Nova. He also appeared in the film Christmas in the Pines, when he met his future wife Jillian Murray.

Geyer was cast in a recurring role in the fourth season of the Fox musical comedy drama television series Glee in July 2012. Geyer played Brody Weston, an upperclassman who becomes acquainted with the series’ protagonist Rachel Berry (Lea Michele) while both are students at NYADA.
