Timmeney joined FOX 29 in January 2013 as a general assignment correspondent. She co-anchors FOX 29 News on Friday and Saturday evenings. Before joining FOX 29, Dawn spent 12 years as an anchor at NBC-10 in Philadelphia, where she won an Emmy for Outstanding Entertainment Broadcast. Dawn co-hosted and co-produced “Dawn’s Pet Project,” a weekly animal show on Comcast’s NBC NonStop channel that was both entertaining and instructive. Before moving to Philadelphia, Dawn worked as an anchor at WBRE-TV, an NBC station in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. She co-anchored the 5, 6, and 11 p.m. newscasts, and the 5 and 11 p.m. newscasts won Emmy Awards for Best Newscast.

Dawn started her career in television as a reporter and anchor at WFMZ-TV in Allentown, Pennsylvania, where she spent two years. In 1993, Dawn and her husband founded the Max and Lorraine Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting children with asthma. In conjunction with the American Lung Association, they constructed Camp AsthmaCadabra in the Pocono Mountains for children who would otherwise be denied a summer camping vacation owing to their asthma. Dawn is on the Honorary Board of Directors of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation, as well as the “Little Smiles” charity. She is a big advocate of education and has served on the Community Partnership School Board of Trustees in the past.
