In 1967, he played Captain Kirk’s nephew in the Star Trek episode “Operation Annihilate!”. The next year, he played a different character in the episode “And the Children Shall Lead”. As a child, he appeared on television in Kung Fu, The Flying Nun, and Bewitched. Arrival of a Young Giant, his debut album, was released in 1968 and included Hundley (piano), Jay Jay Wiggins (bass), and Gary Chase (drums). Hundley Plays with the Big Boys, released the following year, adds a big band to the trio. Rhapsody in Blue, released in 1969, included a huge ensemble with Ed Thigpen on drums.
In the 1970s, Huxley devised a musical instrument based on an aluminum refining of the blaster beam. His design was patented in 1984. The instrument was featured in the music of Star Trek: The Motion Picture, and Huxley performed it on the soundtrack of 10 Cloverfield Lane. Huxley has produced eight documentaries about endangered animals and hazardous expeditions, which have been released around the world. Explorers: From the Titanic to the Moon (2006), starring Buzz Aldrin and James Cameron, was the first installment in Huxley’s GoPlanet series to examine extreme exploration. Huxley composed elements of the score for Baraka (1992). By 2022, he would have produced more than 40 videos displaying his daughter Fiona Huxley’s musical, acting, and humorous talents.
