In Season Five, Coy played Flint in the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. episodes A Life Spent, Fun & Games, Together or Not at All, The Last Day, Best Laid Plans and Past Life. In the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. episodes From the Ashes and The Sign in Season Six, and What We’re Fighting For in Season Seven, he played a recreated Flint. Flint is an Inhuman who was born in an alternate timeline within the Lighthouse. Flint was forced to grow up quickly in a harsh environment due to the Kree’s influence, relying on Tess’ friendship to keep him alive. Flint was saved from being sold as a slave by Kasius after undergoing his own Terrigenesis by S.H.I.E.L.D. and was persuaded to rise up against the Kree. Flint led the humans against the Kree, allowing S.H.I.E.L.D. to return to their own time by rebuilding the Time Di’Alla before focusing his efforts on rebuilding the destroyed Earth.

In the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. episode The Sign, he played Izel, who was in possession of the recreated Flint’s body. Izel was an ancient being who created the Shrike. Another entity, Pachakutiq, who believed Izel murdered his family, tried to kill her several times, but she always managed to escape thanks to her ability to possess others. Izel traveled to Kitson after the destruction of Chronyca-2, where she recruited Jemma Simmons and Leo Fitz. When she arrived on Earth, she was met with S.H.I.E.L.D. and Sarge’s Squad, who destroyed her spaceship. She was able to escape, however, by possessing James Davis’ body. She then infiltrated the Lighthouse using various agents, shooting Sarge and killing Davis in the process. She then took the Gravity Containment Device and escaped in the body of Yo-Yo Rodriguez, accompanied by Alphonso Mackenzie, who volunteered to accompany her. Izel was able to sway Sarge to her side after rebuilding the Di’Allas with Flint’s powers before dying at the hands of Melinda May.
