Corey J. Hodges is an American pastor who also serves as the chaplain for the NBA’s Utah Jazz. He spent five years as a columnist for The Salt Lake Tribune’s religious section. He was also the weekly host of the television show This Week in the Word, which aired on Utah’s KTMW.

Hodges is a member of the Utah State Ethics Commission, appointed by former Utah Governor Gary Herbert. Hodges is the chair of the Salt Lake County Council on Diversity Affairs (CODA).

In 2006, former Utah Supreme Court Chief Justice Christine M. Durham appointed Hodges to the board of the Initiative on Utah Children in Foster Care (IOU). He has previously served on the Governor’s Olene Walker Board of Economic Development. received the place of Peace Award in 2006, which recognizes outstanding residents who embody peace and make a personal commitment to making Salt Lake County a peaceful place. In 2009, he earned the Taylorsville, Utah, citizen’s award, and in 2010, former Utah Governor Gary Herbert honored him for his great commitment to the Utah community.
