She is a television meteorologist who has also dabbled in acting, directing, and screenplay. She began as a Geology major at Sacramento State University and rose to prominence as the morning meteorologist on Minneapolis television station WCCO-TV. She has worked for KABC-TV in Los Angeles, WHDH-TV in Boston, KHQ-TV in Spokane, KPAX-TV in Missoula, and KMSP-TV (also in Minneapolis) as a meteorologist and science reporter. She has made national appearances for Fox News and The Weather Channel. She was nominated for an Emmy Award for Best Weather Anchor in 2003. She has appeared in top-rated television shows and independent films as an actor. She starred in the 2005 short film Minneapolis, which she also co-wrote.  She appeared as a news reporter on Desperate Housewives from 2006 through 2012. She has also appeared as a newscaster on The Mindy Project, 90210, The Closer, Hallmark, and Lifetime. Christine also works as a loadmaster on the C-130 Hercules with the Minnesota Air National Guard and has gone to Afghanistan and Kuwait in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
