Ben’s passion for action sports led him to Vail, Colorado, at the age of 18, to pursue his dream of becoming a professional snowboarder. Before returning to Charlotte, Ben spent two seasons in Vail and one season in Mammoth Lakes, California. Ben works with his father, David, at The Inspiration Ministries (INSP). Ben is the President and Founder of Steelroots, INSP’s youth outreach program. Cerullo, named by Charisma Magazine as one of the “30 Emerging Voices that will lead the church in the next decade,” founded Steelroots, a youth culture ministry, in 2000. The ministry was among the first to combine action sports and Christian music in order to reach out to youth and young adults. Cerullo left his position as Steelroots’ spokesperson and media personality in 2007 to create Cerullo Ministries. Ben continues to lead and manage the Steelroots ministry’s team and activities while also serving as the driving factor behind Cerullo Ministries.
