Christopher Dana Broussard is an American sports analyst and commentator for Fox Sports 1 (FS1) and Fox Sports Radio. He is best known for his NBA coverage and now co-hosts FS1’s afternoon show First Things First and Fox Sports Radio’s The Odd Couple with Rob Parker.

Broussard began writing about sports for The Plain Dealer in 1990. He stayed there for four years before joining the Akron Beacon Journal, where he began covering the NBA and spent two and a half seasons as the Cleveland Cavaliers beat reporter. Broussard then joined The New York Times in 1998, where he covered the New Jersey Nets for two years, the New York Knicks for three, and the NBA as a whole for one year. In September 2004, Broussard joined ESPN The Magazine. In 2004, in addition to his journalistic duties, Broussard began appearing on ESPN as an NBA insider and analyst, as well as on First Take as a panelist debating sports themes with Skip Bayless.
Broussard was chastised in April 2013 for remarks he made on ESPN’s Outside the Lines about NBA star Jason Collins coming out as homosexual. Broussard had revealed his opinions on homosexuality and other sexual activities that he considered crimes, saying, “If you’re openly living in unrepentant sin…I believe that’s walking in open rebellion to God.” He later issued a statement clarifying his words, stating that he had only provided his “personal opinion as it relates to Christianity,” and admitting that he understands “that some people disagree with my opinion, and I accept and respect that.” At that point in his career, FS1’s offer as a pundit, analyst, and personality piqued his interest.
Broussard frequently appears on FS1’s Skip and Shannon: Undisputed, The Herd with Colin Cowherd, First Things First, and Lock It In. Broussard took over as co-host of First Things First on August 30, 2021, after former NFL wide receiver Brandon Marshall left. In 2018, Broussard co-hosted The Odd Couple, a daily national radio show. His co-host is Rob Parker, a fellow FS1 sports expert. The Odd Couple may be heard on Fox Sports Radio on Sirius XM Channel 83. During an appearance on First Things First in October 2023, Broussard used the insult “retarded” to defend James Harden in response to Nick Wright’s statement about Harden’s reaction to a trade from the Philadelphia 76ers to the Los Angeles Clippers.
In addition to his job as a sports commentator, Broussard is the Founder and President of The K.I.N.G. Movement, a national Christian men’s organization dedicated to strengthening men’s Christian faith and lifestyle through support, accountability, instruction, fellowship, and brotherhood. K.I.N.G. stands for Knowledge, Inspiration, and Nurture via God. It has chapters in multiple cities. In 2023, Broussard collaborated with Matthew Daniels, Chair of Law and Human Rights at The Institute of World Politics, to release a six-part Bible study based on Martin Luther King Jr.’s life, teachings, and biblical principles, which was endorsed by Andrew Young and distributed by Urban Ministries, a HarperCollins subsidiary.
